Week In review…

I haven’t posted much this week.  Mostly because I’ve been fairly busy with work, and because for a portion of time my computer was down for some small upgrades.

So, I’ll guess I share what I’m rocking now.  I’m using a Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0 Motherboard now, with 8 gigs of Corsair memory, still using my GTX 260 graphics card, but I’m now rocking a 120gb OCZ Agility 3 SSD Drive.  I also purchased a 240GB version of the drive as well that was a refurb, to be used as my games / essential programs drive.  That device however, has to be RMA’d because it was apparently DOA. I installed a couple of my games on the smaller drive that’s meant to be for only the OS because I wanted to see how fast they were going to run.  HOLY SMOKES.  Boot up time for my system now is like 8 seconds.  Its dang ridiculous.  Windows 8 is SOOOOO fast now.  I was playing STO doing some PvP with max graphics, and I was getting 70 FPS.  Again, I didn’t upgrade my video card.  Its still my old GTX 260.  Very nice.  My system now, has a windows score of 7.3 now… WOOOT! lol.  Went from 5.9 to 7.3. And that’s because of my memory apparently.  I grabbed some very stable Corsair memory, so its not very aggressively fast.

I finally got my phone upgraded.  I’m now the very proud, and happy owner of a very large “Phablet”. Yes, I picked up the Galaxy Note II. Its a very nice phone.  Its quite big, but I’m getting used to it.  It’s very fast, has a nice camera, and the screen is amazing.  I would recommend it to anybody who’s thinking about it.  however, you really gotta want to have such a large screen.  I do a lot of txting, and facebooking, and twittering, so the screen is nice, but maybe other people would be more happy with the GSIII.  At some point this week, I think i’m going to try out Cyanogenmod on it.  I’m pretty satisfied with the UI on this phone, so we shall see.

Works been kind of a drag this week.  Last couple weeks been kinda yucky, and last week was no exception.  Gonna have to really focus to get outta this slump.  Sucks.

Anyways, I think that about sums it up.  TTFN!
