Just kidding! There’s nothing about a kitchen sink in this post! But, just as a heads up, I decided to break this gigantic post up into 3 different sections to make it easier for people who don’t care about my rideshare life, or don’t care about my gaming life. If you do care about both you can click those links and read those posts too.Continue reading “New job, crazy times and the kitchen sink”
So my last post, was about how I was going to start blogging again more. That didn’t really work out to well apparently. But this time… This time is for realz! I feel like when you get into a funk with blogging, it’s really hard to get back on track. Mostly because its just so easy to NOT do it. You forget that putting it all out there (well, most of it anyways) has this satisfying feeling of getting something off your chest.
Things have been… interesting lately. I’ve been in a bit of a funk. For various reasons i suppose. I’ve had a lot on my mind as of late. Some good, some bad.
I’ve been watching Game Of Thrones lately. I started a couple of weeks ago and have managed to become hooked on it! While I’m writing this late night blog post I’m currently on Season 3, Episode 6. It’s a very interesting show. It’s a bit on the… graphic side, but once you get past that, its got a very twisting plot that keeps you on your toes. Every time I start to think that I like a certain character, they manage kill them off!
I also have been keeping up on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Glee, and of course Once Upon a Time. The season finale for the latter was sunday night, and boy what a cliffhanger it was. I won’t spoil it for anybody who hasn’t watched it yet. Agents of Shield comes on tonight so I’ll have to watch that after I get out of work. The Glee season finale is also tonight so I’ll have lots of watching to do.
My daughter turned 13 a couple weeks ago. That was really interesting to me. I’ve never really felt old, and really I still don’t but I do feel like somethings are catching up. If it wasn’t bad enough that she turned 13, she sent me a message a couple days later telling me that the boy she likes asked her out. That was a punch in the gut right there. Now I’ve got to have that conversation with her. About what’s acceptable, what’s not. Blargh!
Anyways, I suppose thats probably all for now. its well past my bed time.
Well here we are. Me… typing in this blog. You… Reading it minutes, moments, hours, or maybe days later. You and me. Hi. Lets recap the week!
So last night as I was sitting at my PC i noticed that i was starting to be a bit dizzy. I just kind of assumed it was because of being tired, and kept pressing on with what i was working on. Well I went to lay down and immediately got the spins. Luckily for me laying on my stomach made it much more bearable, so i switched to that position and hoped i’d fall asleep quickly. Which, thankfully, I did. However after waking up a couple times in the middle of the night feeling the same way, and waking up in the morning the same, I figured I’d better head to the med center and see what was going on. Btw, before i continue this story, that did you know that when you close your eyes, the flashes you see sometimes, or the designs you see “in your head”, are because your brain is trying to decipher whats going on around you and helping to build the scenario. Well when it doesn’t know what to do, that’s what you get… a flash. And lemme tell you, it was like a lightening storm inside my brain last night. It was almost memorizing.
Anyways, continuing on with my story. I headed to the med center around noon. Finally around 4ish I was discharged with Vertigo. They put me on some medication to help thin the liquid inside my inner ear. Also got the day off from work. Crazyness.
So, the sucky thing, is that ruins my planned fishing trip for Wednesday afternoon. And Blues on the Mall most likely. Bummer.
This weekend should be interesting. Wedding! WEEEEEEE
Anyways, thats it for now.
So, its been a minute or two since I’ve posted on here. Mostly because I’ve been working on this new and improved site. I’ve moved it to its own domain now, and thusly giving me the satisfaction of knowing that i successfully tinkered with it. While I DID want to move this site to its own domain, i think it’s more the personal satisfaction of knowing that I set up the web server. I was the one who successfully configured it to run TWO separate websites off of the same server (this site, and www.probablyblogging.com BOTH run off of the same server). Sometimes I log in, and *hope* that some update breaks it somehow, and i”ll have to redo something in order for it to work again, just so I can tinker with it. But, really, only a small part of me, so please don’t break my server lololol.
So I haven’t posted much in here lately but i figured since I’m watching “One More Episode” of Lost, I’d post something up in here.
I haven’t posted much this week. Mostly because I’ve been fairly busy with work, and because for a portion of time my computer was down for some small upgrades.
Ok, so by the time I post this blog, it probably wont’ actually BE Friday, but I digress.
It’s been a pretty busy week at work. With the giveaway, its been pretty nuts all week. I’m glad for the extra attention, but I’ll be glad to return to our regularly scheduled business lol. The snow we’ve had this week has been pretty significant too, thusly also impacting us. Again, its been pretty busy. So, what’s new this week?
So Sunday I had my annual Christmas party in January. It was nice because they did it on a Sunday this year which is a lot easier for me to get off versus the Saturdays they normally do it on. Since we’ve been having it at St Ann’s we normally have them cater it. However this year they decided to have a Chili bar. A couple people brought their own homemade versions of Chili, and everybody else brought random mix ins. Stuff like goldfish, Fritos, Shredded lettuce, tomatoes, black olives and Continue reading “Its SNOWY and Stuff!”
Welp, I’ve gotten my car mostly fixed now at this point. It still needs a good tune up, and is going to need springs and struts in the summer, but I should be able to drive this winter now without being in fear of not being able to control my vehicle. Thanks to a friend of a friend, I’ve gotten the work done, at a pretty good price.
Interesting week at work. Quite a difference comparing the week before and this past week. Wasn’t quite ready for the pace change. I really hate snow and winter in general, but man we could use some snow! Last few weeks I’ve been training somebody, and I’m pretty pleased with his progress. I think he will be a fine addition to the family.
So I finially broke down, and put CM7 back on my phone. I couldn’t stand the stock OS anymore. It unfortunately means if somebody sends me a group message i’ll have to ask them to resend it to me. Sucks, but I was having too many problems with my phone otherwise. And by problems I mean it was running super slow. I’m due for an upgrade in March. I, for a short moment, actually debated on getting an iPhone 5. But the screen is terribly small. I think its a great phone and all, but I just love Android too much. And the customizations that it offers. Like… being able to put a completely different version of the OS that’s been streamlined to remove all the excess bloatware.
Anyways. Tomorrow is Monday, and Mondays always suck because its an all day beast.
