Today I said goodbye. I said goodbye to a friend who I’ve never been to the movies with. A friend I’ve never gone to the park with. Never went cruising around with. We’d never gone to the bar together. Never been to church together. Never met in person. Never had dinner together. Never had any meal together. But we’ve spent easily hundreds of hours “together”. We’ve spent countless hours chatting it up. Countless hours running people over in Grand Theft Auto V. Countless hours shooting ships in Elite: Dangerous. We’d spent countless hours in Skype. Ken was a regular guest of the Podcast / Stream that I’m part of. Many games we’d played together, many hours of deep chat about life, wives, kids, work, and everything else between. I know him well enough to call him friend. And that’s not a title I just typically throw around. Continue reading “RIP my friend.”
So I decided to do a random show tonight! We hung out in Star Trek Online at the Risa resort at the dance floor. We had a lively crowd which was composed of Zavress, PhreakBee, Deva, Nocturn, Sahara, Jeshaa, Suzo, Summer, Peggy, Keku, Ann Tanna, The Doctor, and many others who were popping in and out. The show started as a Pop show, but quickly turned into a Hip Hop request show. We had a lot of fun! The show of course started out with me forgetting to turn my mic on, so for about 30-45 seconds there was no me on air, just my talky music. I figured that out quickly thanks to Bee pointing it out. Once that mistake was fixed everything was pretty smooth from there on out. Save of course for my usual stuttering on air lol.
Well guess who let me do a show… SubSpace Radio! It was really nice to get back on the air and do a show. The crowd was a little lighter than what I’ve had before, but the people who were there were pumped, we were pumped, and we had a lot of fun. Scott (Jahner) and I decided it was beyond time to get in the DJ booth and do our thing. And that’s what we did. We did a Ten Tribble Nation show. Ten Tribble Nation is the culmination of our two shows combined. My show is Alien Nation 3.0, and his is Ten Forward. Hence Ten Tribble Nation.
So tonight i decided to jump on the airwaves after the awesome DJ Kahless. We had a great time, doing some PvP and hanging out at DS9 at the Dabo Table. Had a pretty good sized turnout for the show. All in all it was a Sunday full of DJ’s. Continue reading “Club Show 10/27 on SSR, and PvP!”
Another great show in the books tonight. We jammed out after Erroch’s great show, with a full two hours of rock! Here’s the playlist and more after the jump!
Tonight’s show was fun as always! We debuted the SSR Twitch channel for the show. Had a GREAT time dancing at Quarks, and showing off my cats in the webcam on the stream of my game client. In case you haven’t heard, SubSpace Radio’s Twitch is located at http://www.twitch.tv/subspaceradio. We’ve got several DJ’s who are planning on doing shows with that so that’s going to be exciting!
It was great getting on air tonight and doing a show! Hung out at DS9 all night getting my holo gamble on. As usual, here is the playlist from tonight.
Haven’t posted in a bit, so I figured I would update you on whats been going on. I’ve been playing STO quite a bit again lately, now that I’ve gotten our Minecraft server pretty much up and running smoothly. I finally got my Romulan science officer to level 50, and have been doing some PvP. I was planning on having a healer, but I think i’m going to more explore the DPS side of science, seeing as the Scimitar doesn’t really offer a very good heal option. From the Star Trek Online website: A new article about Fleet Dilithium Mines, and how they are going to work. I’ve posted an exerpt here, otherwise check out the full article at Star Trek Online
Fleet System Expansion: Dilithium Mine Outpost
In Season 6, we introduced our incredibly popular Fleet Starbase feature. This holding allowed fleet members to work together and contribute to a single greater goal to not only build the fleet’s very own Starbase, but also unlock excellent personal rewards. In Season 7, our second fleet holding, the Embassy, was released. This was our first fleet outpost and it continued to give fleets, both large and small, reasons to work together to achieve meaningful goals.
We are excited to be able to reveal our next Fleet Outpost. The Dilithium Mine will be hitting the live servers soon! This holding focuses on improving fleet project efficiency and giving fleet members the opportunity to earn additional dilithium ore every day in a variety of ways.
So, Star Trek Online is finally getting a Romulan faction, in the form of STO’s first expansion called “Legacy of Romulus.”
Some of the features coming out with this expansion:
