Sunday Funday

Today was quite a fun day of running around and doing things.
It all started out with having some waffles for breakfast.  I haven’t had waffles in forever, but we picked some up from the store last night before coming home.  Man, I was glad we did.  They were delicious.  After we got all showered and cleaned up Ru came over and we headed out to begin our journey.

Firstly, we went to the mall to H&R Block to get our taxes done.  That took a bit of time as it was two of us, and I forgot half the stuff I was supposed to bring with me.

I’m not really sure why one of my eyes is all shut like I’m a pirate, but we took this picture while waiting for my brother to get his taxes done.  I’m really looking like a ginger these days.  I’m thinking I might color my hair red again since I’ve had it long now for over a year now.

Anyways after that we went for lunch at this place called Bagger Daves.  I’d been hearing some great stuff about them, so since I’m a perfect “Burger and Fries” kinda guy, I had already pre-determined we were going to eat lunch there.  We walked in, and for as much great things I had heard, it was surprisingly small.  It was pretty “taverny” on the inside, with most of the seating and décor being wood.  There was a train that ran all the way around the inside of the building.

Anyways on to the meat of this story… SWIDT?  LOLOL.  So we ordered “Daves Sloppy Nachos”.  Basicly it was nacho chips, with a buncha meat, some sort of bbq sauce, Oh, and the usual lettuce, tomoatos, jalapenos, and sour cream jazz.  We knew at the point we were going to be in for a treat, because we pretty much murdered those nachos.  I mean, we were using forks to pick up all the vegetables left over that had whatever magic sauce they used on their nachos.  Suffice it to say, they were amazing.  There were TONS of choices for their Build Your Own burger. I ordered a regular burger (which is a double decker mind you), with their version of thousand island dressing, onions, pickles, lettuce, and mayo.  Here’s a picture of the goodness.

After we had gorged ourselves to the point of barely being able to walk we headed over to Target so that Mikayla could use her gift cards that she had gotten over the course of the last two Christmas’.  She managed to get a nice little outfit for herself, and even thought she didn’t have enough to cover it, I got her the new One Direction CD.  Unfortunately the time we spent walking around Target was sooooo long.  We probably walked an hour back and forth before she had finally settled on something.  Overall I think we walked around Target for nearly 1.5 to 2 hours lol.

After that we still had some time to kill, so we decided to stop at Five Below and see if they had anything that we really needed, that we didn’t need.  I ended up picking up a telescoping back scratcher, a couple Nintendo DS Stylus’s, and a Lanyard for my keys that says “I Love Music”.  I also grabbed a couple rolls of “Mustache” duct tape for mikayla to make bracelets, and probably wallets and other jazz out of since she’s in to that stuff right now for whatever reason lol.

After that we dropped her off and headed home to our separate ways.  This evening I’ve been putting together this post and continuing my marathon of Netflix.  I am currently caught up to the current season of Dr Who but I haven’t watched any of this seasons episodes.  I decided to take a break, and watch Torchwood.  Currently i’m in Season 3, and more specificly the 2nd episode.

Anyways, that’s it for today.  I’ve gotta be up early in the morning for some computer work at the store.  Should be rather fun.  Getting a new touch screen thingiemabob.

Anyhoo. TTFN
